Campaign objective

Martone Street needed to connect its chef-crafted sauces with shoppers at the shelf. The goal was to give customers an opportunity to experience the flavors while learning about the ingredients and the story behind the products.

Brand ambassadors helped make that introduction personal, guiding shoppers through the varieties and highlighting the sauces’ Italian flavor profiles.

Execution summary

Mariano Events executed 100 in-store demos and distributed more than 5,320 samples across participating Sprouts locations.

Ambassadors sampled all four varieties, walking customers through the ingredients and chef-driven flavors behind each jar. These conversations paired product education with tasting, allowing shoppers to experience the sauces firsthand during their shopping trip.

The activation reflected Mariano Events’ approach to product sampling campaigns, connecting brands with consumers through personal interactions and product trial.

Execution summary

The campaign reached a substantial audience of first-time tasters: 83.5% of sampled shoppers had never tried Martone Street before the activation.

Flavor was the most liked product attribute at 26.2%, followed by ingredient quality at 24.9%. Campagna Marinara emerged as the top-performing variety, while Jupiter, Florida, was identified as the campaign’s top market.

Additionally, 80% of customers said they would recommend the product to someone they know. This feedback indicated positive product reception and a willingness to share the brand with others.
